Our Strategy
The aim of PSG is to broker local philanthropy to provide FREE professional support directly to third sector organisations working for the social and/or economic regeneration of our local area.
About Us
PSG was originally founded in 1996 by Tees Valley Tomorrow (TVT) with philanthropy at its heart; over the last decade PSG has developed the firm foundations laid by TVT to become what it is today, a Registered Charity and Company Limited by Guarantee. PSG currently works with 130 local philanthropic organisations donating up to £250,000 of time every year, brokering the donated time of professional volunteers directly to the needs of organisations with charitable and social aims within our local communities.
PSG services cover over 25 professional disciplines of support (full list can be found on members page) from building surveying, architectural drawings and commercial property valuations to branding, marking, design and legal advice. We offer support on a 1:1 basis, or in the form of workshops and training. Our services are unique and allow the third sector direct access to professional support from the private sector something that otherwise they wouldn’t have due to lack of resource or funding. PSG also manages local volunteering in the private sector including employee volunteering and ‘internships’ and this is linked to our sister project Viva Volunteers, more details can be found at www.viva-volunteers.org.uk.
