Who Is Eligible For Support
In order to make an application for support applicants must evidence the following criteria:
- Based within the Tees Valley
- Charitable aims and objectives
- A proven track record of delivery
- Less than 12 months operating costs in reserve
Applicants will also be asked to supply the following supporting documents:
- Fully completed PSG application form
- Set of most recent trading accounts
- Signed governing document
- List of committee/board members
What sort of projects do we support?
Individual One-off Projects: A percentage of PSG support are individual one-off projects such as a structure survey, a business plan, a marketing strategy or simply a new leaflet or some advice on a lease or property valuation.
Repeat Projects: Many community groups apply for PSG support more than once, you are not limited to making only one application.
Joint Projects
Sometimes projects need support from a number of professional disciplines and provide an opportunity for PSG members to work collaboratively with other members.
Workshops & Group Advice
PSG deliver support to group of community organisations via workshop in areas such as Financial Planning and Management, Business Planning and Human Resource management.
Quality of Service
The Guiding principle of PSG is that members approach projects in the same way as they would an instruction from a fee-paying client - the only difference is that the community client is not charged. advisors or office holders (e.g. Auditors).
Who Is Not Eligible For Support?
PSG cannot support activities that may bring them into disrepute, nor can they support the following:
Animal Charities
PSG cannot support animal charities unless they can evidence benefit to the local community as a whole and not just animals.
Aid Agencies
PSG cannot support organisations providing aid agencies that are dedicated to the distribution of aid.
Religious Groups
PSG cannot support organisations promoting a particular religious view or one that has closed membership. Discretion may be given if organisation can show their activities benefit the whole community.
Commercial Business
PSG cannot support organisations that do not have social aim.
Litigation or Arbitration
PSG cannot support any areas or litigation, arbitration or other dispute resolution process where there is the potential of legal proceeding in court or other forum.
Audit Services
PSG members do not act as retained advisors or office holders (e.g. Auditors).
