HOW TO MAKE AN APPLICATION:

1. Firstly contact PSG either by telephone 01642 304407 or you can visit our website www.teesvalleypsg.org.uk you will be asked some basic eligibility questions and confirm your contact details, you will then be sent an application pack along with these eligibility and guidance notes for you to complete an application.
2. You need to complete the PSG application form and return to us at your soonest convenience – there is also the option of an appointment with the PSG manager should you wish where your application can be discussed in more detail or if you require support in its completion.
3. Your completed application form should then be returned with the following supporting documents:
Latest audited accounts, financial statements (or bank statement if new group)
Copy of Constitution or Memorandum & Articles of Association
List of Committee Members including names, addresses and relationship to group
Publicity leaflets (if applicable)
4. Upon receipt of your application PSG will complete an assessment based on the information provided, you may be contacted at this point should we require any additional information or clarification on anything. This assessment together with a recommendation is then forwarded to our steering group who ultimately make a decision to support the application in question.
5. If your application is completed in full and all supporting documentation is present we aim to provide you with our decision within 4 weeks of receipt, if successful your project will then be matched to one of our members within 2 weeks of the decision.
6. You will be informed in writing of the outcome of your application and if successful you will be matched with an appropriate member and a letter will be sent out to you with their contact details for you to arrange to see them.
7. If your application is declined PSG is not obliged to give the reason for this.
8. It should be noted that for some of our services, where demand is high e.g. architects and solicitors may take longer to allocate an appropriate member.
9. We ask that you keep the office informed of progress and return the completed ‘feedback’ form to us that enable us to monitor our work more effectively.
APPEALS PROCEDURE
Should the applicant/group disagree with the decision (i.e. perceived inaccuracy of assessment or failure to take account of all information), an appeal can be made in writing to the PSG chair who will reconsider the application, taking any further information or remarks into consideration. The appeal must include supporting evidence and cannot be made just because the decision is not favourable.
